How can the Trust help me?

Depending on your individual circumstances, the Trust may:

  • Approve a payment arrangement which covers your future monthly Watercare bills and generally includes a write-off of part or all of the amount you owe
  • Approve assistance for the repair of water leaks (owner/occupiers only and subject to the nature and extent of repairs required)
  • Referral to EcoMatters Trust for a FREE water check to help manage high water bills, check for leaks and provide some water saving devices
  • Referral to other organisations who may be able to provide additional assistance.

This example shows how WUCAT helps those in need but each application depends on it’s own circumstances. It is important that application reviews reflect our mission to relieve poverty and benefit Watercare’s customers who appear to WUCAT are unable to pay their water and wastewater bills, but who have a reasonable prospect of paying these in the future.
